Proper Usage / Application Instructions

While we at MilitaryWives.com do not presume that our guests are unintelligent we want to ensure that everyone has information on how to properly utilize the products we sell so therefore we felt it prudent to explain certain aspects of the products we offer.

Decals / Bumper Stickers

The majority of these items are for outside application, either on vehicle windows or the bumper. You may even wish to apply them directly to the painted body of the vehicle (which we do NOT recommend).
1. For best results application should be done on a warm sunny day.
2. Thoroughly clean the application area with the appropriate cleaner for the specific surface.
3. Ensure that the application area is dry.
4. Peel the item from the protective backing, ensuring not to touch the adhesive side. Skin oil could prevent proper sealing of the item to the area.
5. Apply the item to the cleaned area adhesive side down. It is best to start from one edge, applying the item while smoothing it out to remove any air bubbles between the item and the application area.
6. Once applied to application area use a smooth object, such as a pencil, to further remove any air bubbles that may have formed during application this will ensure the item is properly affixed to the application area.
7. Air bubbles can cause improper sealing to the application area and possibly result in loss of the item.

Certificates

First and foremost - DO NOT USE IN A LASER PRINTER!! The Certificate colors WILL melt and may damage the printer. If you overlooked indicating a name for personlization please DOWNLOAD our templates here. They are in Microsoft Word format. Please follow the directions in the file entitled -STOP-README.doc. The -STOP-README.doc file contains these instructions:

STOP! REMINDER: THE CERTIFICATES CANNOT GO THROUGH A LASER PRINTER!!!!
Since ALL Printers are NOT created equal - To ensure things are correct before using these templates on the actual certificates please do the following things.
1. Print a sample on a regular piece of paper.
2. Hold the printout over the certificate lining up the edges of the two sheets.
3. The information hopefully will line up but since printers are different and spacings are different you may have to work with the space above (or below) the sample name. 4. Once you have the information where it lines up - Save the template so the next time it will be a matter of opening a new document and printing it. While we cannot guarantee the correct spacing these will at least be close.
