House slats

Unfortunately we DO NOT have any slats and the artisan has retired. However, she provided us with the dimensions for them so we could offer the information to our customers.

She stated that the slats were

1. Cut from 1" x10" yellow pine. (Available from any home improvement store.)
2. They measured - 1 1/2 inches high for the standard slat. If a larger slat is your desire, or needed, they were 1 3/4 inch.
3. Once cut, the slat was then sanded to provide a smooth surface on all sides.
4. The slat was then painted with a white craft paint. (Available from any craft location.)
5. The border decoration and the wording (for the duty station) were added with a paint pen. She used black but stated that the pens come in a variety of colors. (These are also available from any craft location.)
6. Once painted, she then used a clear acrylic spray paint to seal the slat prior to adding the hooks. (The spray paint is available from any home improvement store.)
7. She ordered the hooks in bulk but stated that they were also available at any home improvement store.
8. The twine (for attaching them to the house and each other) was simple shipping twine. This is typically available from the craft store or home improvement location.
