Coast Guard Gold Mizpah -
What is a Mizpah?
When worn (as by lovers) it is to signify remembrance while separated.
This mizpah has the Coast Guard Seal on the front side.
This back side shows two interlocking hearts with the words "The Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from another" which is romantically placed within interlocking hearts. The verse is taken from the Bible in Genesis Chapter 31 Verse 49.
- When the two pieces are placed together, the approximate size is 1 3/8 inches.
- It is made in a gold color from pewter.
- The lettering on the back is raised as is the the interlocking hearts.
- Above the verse in a ribbon is the word "MIZPAH" while below in another ribbon is the word "COIN""
